For a Confirmation Test, the EBT must be capable of:

• Providing a printed result in triplicate (or three copies).
• Assigning a sequential number to each test.
• Include on the printed result:
  • the manufacturer’s name for the device,
  • serial number of the device, and
  • the time of test.
• Distinguishing alcohol from acetone.
• Testing an air blank before a confirmation test.
• Performing an external calibration check.
